The latest Google Photos update adds an overhauled video editing experience with options for cropping, perspective change, granular edits (brightness, contrast, saturation, warmth) and built-in filters. Previously the built-in video editor only allowed you to trim video length, apply software stabilization and rotate your content.
Google One members are getting additional photo editing options which were until now exclusive to Pixel phones. These include Portrait Blur and Portrait Light which rely on machine learning to blur backgrounds and add lighting on faces on already captured images. There’s also the Blur and Color Pop filters which add depth information to images taken without portrait mode.
Dynamic suggestions and Sky suggestions will automatically bring out colors and tune contrast on images to make them more pleasing to the eye. These features will be available for all Google One members with devices running Android 8.0 and above with 3GB RAM or more.
